Milan's Palazzo Sormani Andreani (Sormani Andreani Palace) was built in the 18th century and enlarged shortly after, soon becoming one of the most extravagant residences in he whole of Milan.
After the second world war ended, Milan's Palazzo Sormani Andreani became the home of the Municipal Library and now houses Stendhal's private library. With more than 600,000 works, including over a newspaper library with more than 20,000 Italian and foreign papers, a record / CD collection and much more, the Sormani Andreani Palace is Milan's largest library.
