Milan's Palazzo Marino was designed in 1558 by Galeazzo Alessi for Italian banker Tommaso Marino, and construction of the Marino Palace began shortly afterwards.
The Palazzo Marino (Marino Palace) was not actually completed until 1892, when the imposing facade was finally finished. Milan's Marino Palace has been Milan's town hall since 1860 and was the birthplace of Marianna de Leyva, Italy's famous nun of Monza.
