Built in the 15th-century, Milan's striking Palazzo Isimbardi (Isimbardi Palace) has been enlarged and renovated over the years by the many notable Italian families who once lived there.
The Palazzo Isimbardi (Isimbardi Palace) was purchased by its namesake in 1775, Isimbardi, who soon made many alterations of his own. Milan's Palazzo Isimbardi has been the seat of the Milan Provincial Government since 1935 and was only recently opened to the general public.
Located on the south-east side of Milan, attractions at the Palazzo Isimbardi (Isimbardi Palace) include original herringbone pattern paving, many interesting and highly decorated rooms, works of art, frescoes, glass chandeliers and an attractive garden.
